About The Film
A romantic comedy short film based on a true story.
Fresh on the heels of a romantic rejection, Kelsey attends a friend's party with one goal: have a casual hookup for the very first time. But fate - like she so often does - has other plans.
A silly, true, love story.

Director's Statement
As a hopeless romantic, I was drawn to the script for "Stars Behind the Clouds" because of the story behind the story. It's the heartwarming true story of how, writer, Kelsey Dougherty met her husband. It felt like the kind of story that only happens in movies, and they are still married. They actually lived happily ever after, and I think that's beautiful! I'm excited and honored that Kelsey gave me the opportunity to bring her story of true love to life!
